The crew? Top-notch. Super friendly, always on point, and made us feel right at home. And the food—man, it was next level! Great eats after each dive really hit the spot.
But let’s talk about the dives. We hit some killer sites, and Richelieu Rock was just mind-blowing. The colors, the life—it’s like diving into another world.
Huge shoutout to Choc and the crew for making this trip unforgettable. If you’re into diving, "The Junk" is where it’s at. Dive in, you won’t regret it!

a. Booking - the team at junk liveaboards was very responsive (on whatsapp and email) for all the booking related questions that we had related to weather, diving, equipment's, moving around phuket, reservations etc. The quick response time helped us confirm our plan - we planned this trip just 2-3 weeks before the dates and we are so glad that we did it!
b. Transfers - our flight from Jakarta was delayed by 2 hours and we got late to arrive at Phuket. the junk liveaboard team was very considerate to wait for us and also arrange our transfer smoothly to-and-from the airport/hotel.
c. About the Boat - The boat was cozy, clean and well managed. It has lot of space to chill between the dives - upper deck, dining area, common area with games, books and sit outs. There was always crew around to help you with your stay. The crew also helped to take care of our son while both me and my husband were diving and they also arranged for a snorkeling trip for my son in between the dives. Our son never had a dull moment on board (while we were diving).
d. Food - Such an elaborate and delicious spread on the boat - pizza, quesadilla, ribs, cupcakes, tarts, dumplings, english breakfast, fish and chips, mango sticky rice, curries - you name it and they have it - one can only imagine how they prepare this on the boat!
e. Diving - Last but not the least - the diving crew is professional and helped me complete my Advanced Open water and Nitrox Certification on board . The dive sites chosen were great - including cave diving and wreck dives around Koh Han, Phi Phi and Phuket. The dive crew was prompt in preparing our equipment's and ensuring we are briefed thoroughly. Since I am a beginner, the crew patiently helped me with my buoyancy and getting conformable with currents. I am going back as a more confident diver. Thanks to the amazing diving crew on board.
The cherry on the top was meeting divers around the world and diving together with
so many experienced divers - learning about open waters in depth!

Food: 5 stars - great food! They provide sachets of electrolytes to help with hydration, there's always plenty of snacks and fruits available, they also provide drinks after every dive (hot drinks to warm you up, or cool drinks for a refreshing gulp!) At the end of the trip, they gave everyone a packet of their homemade biscuits.
Boat: Plenty of space at the main deck and top deck. Top deck is where you can sunbathe. Main deck has the dining room (and also charging room), and the outside area where there's a main table & benches, plus the diving preparation area. Plenty of space to manouver in my opinion, I never felt that I lack space while preparing for a dive.
Dive: Safety is always top of mind, but does not subtract from the experience. Dive departs from a zodiac, back roll entry (my preference anyway). Brian, our Dive Guide and Cruise Director, was very good at spotting marine creatures (some pictures attached). It was also my first time with my Olympus TG-7, and Casey (another dive guide who uses Olympus TG), was also very helpful in providing basic photography tips. Unfortunately, Richeliu Rock was not at its best due to El Nino, but we still had a great time. We even saw an Eagle Ray! Also props to Dr. Nitrox, nitrox level is always at 31%.
Room: The rooms are all at lower deck. We got an ensuite bathroom, housekeeping on daily basis, airconditioned, bed was comfortable. Space was tight, but that's how it is with boat living. Most importantly, it's always clean & comfortable. Take not charging is only done at charging station at the dining room.
Summary: Great experience overall, 5 stars out of 5. Excellent customer service, good food, great dives, comfortable room.
