Intro to Tech Diving + Solo Diver

Intro to Tech Diving + Solo Diver

Duration: 1 pool day, 3 days course on board

The TDI Intro to Tech Course introduces the recreational diver into the world of technical diving by training the diver on how to use 2 cylinders carried on the side of the diver instead of the conventional 1 mounted on the back of the diver or a Twinset, which is a unification of 2 cylinders also carried on the divers back.

During the Solo Diver Course you will learn how to dive independently without a dive buddy. Rather than relying on the traditional buddy diving safety system, a solo diver is trained in being self-sufficient and taking responsibility for their own safety while diving. The course stresses on proper dive planning, personal limitations, accident prevention as well as the benefits, hazards, and proper procedures for diving solo.

Minimum requirements:
Minimum age: 21 years
Advanced Open Water (or equivalent) certified with min. 100 logged dives

Solo Diver + Sidemount

Solo Diver + Sidemount

Duration: 1 pool day, 3 days course on board

Sidemount diving means that scuba tanks are carried on your side, instead of on your back. An easy first step into tech diving. You will learn specific techniques, planning procedures and skills that set side-mounted cylinder diving apart from the traditional back-mounted method. During the course, the instructor covers skills such as: diving equipment considerations, gas management, attaching cylinders, trim and buoyancy and different water entries.
