Leopard Shark Expeditions
Leopard Shark Expeditions with Oceans For All
10-14 March 2022
The Junk Liveaboards and Oceans For All Foundation have teamed up to organise Leopard/Zebra Shark Expeditions for our guests. Data collected on these expeditions forms the basis of a petition which will be presented to the Thai government to save and protect the elusive leopard sharks, also known as zebra sharks.
Our second Leopard Shark adventure is on board The Phinisi for a 4 night expedition from 10-14 March 2022. This cruise starts in Phuket and heads southwards exploring the areas of Phi Phi, Hin Muang, Hin Daeng and Koh Haa. The main goal of this expedition is to assess the situation regarding leopard/zebra sharks in the Southern Andaman. With your help we can collect more data in order to better evaluate their precarious position.
Our guests can look forward to an amazing dive cruise with lots of extras. You can actively be part of ocean conservation and make a real difference during this trip. David Martin, founder of Oceans For All, will be on board to guide you through the leopard research. He will explain how you can help to collect valuable data.
In addition, David will give presentations to pinpoint the challenges faced by the leopard sharks. Oceans For All is pushing to get this on the political agenda in Thailand. With your help, we aim to accomplish an ‘endangered status’ for leopard sharks so they can be protected and flourish again in Thailand.
All about Oceans For All
